Industry
– Institute -Interface
Our Institute has always realized the
need for effective interface with iIndustry & business
and has undertaken the task of strengthening the linkages
with them. This is achieved through the Centre for Corporate
Relations, manned by experienced people with industry
and management background.
The Centre maintains regular interaction
with the industry/ business organizations with a view
to provide the students with exposure to developments
therein through:-
Corporate
Meets/Get-Togethers:
Senior executives from varied corporates
are invited wherein we get the opportunity to interact
and get inputs for better development of our students.
Industry
Visits:
These provide opportunity for the students
to get on the ground feel about industry and understand
the systems and procedures involved in running an organisation.
In order to have better understanding of management, a
number of industry visits are organized for students in
consultation with the concerned faculty. Students identify
the companies as per the course need of the concerned
faculty. Students submit the report and make presentations.
Students are also encouraged to help faculty members for
MDPs, Seminars and conferences. The industry visits provide
the special exposure to the students about the various
intricacies of the Industry/corporate world.
Management
Development Programmes/Seminars/Workshops:
The Centre also catalyses and coordinates
organization of Management Development Programmes/Seminars/Workshops
etc. where the students are associated/exposed. Learning
through seminars, workshops and conferences encourages
professional discussion between students and practicing
managers. Such events provide opportunities to acquire
knowledge and competencies that would enable them to perform
better as managers of tomorrow.
Project and
Assignments
These projects and assignments form
an integral part of the curriculum. Several projects are
identified for the students to select. Guidance to work
on the projects is provided by the course instructors.
Personality
Development-Changing Framework
Any organization would need high quality
people for excelling themselves as a high performance
organization. With intense competition across all fields
in the business and industry, having edge over others
is a necessity. Further, ever evolving complexity of today's
industry and business requires inter - dependence of roles
and need to work in groups and desired behavior and attitude
in inter- personal relationships so as to ensure group
and team synergy.
Pre-Placement Talk
It is an opportunity for the corporate
world to interact and to get better acquainted with their
prospective recruits, both for the summer and final placements.
Organizations make presentations in which typical student
concerns like job descriptions, remuneration package,
scope for growth, cross-functional are addressed.
