About MCA

After earning a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) or an equivalent qualification, a candidate may pursue an MCA.

To be eligible to pursue an MCA degree, a student must have a BCA or B.Sc. degree or BBA, BA, B.Com or equivalent with Mathematics as a compusory subject at intermediate level. The whole term of the MCA program is two years. Likewise, a candidate may study an MCA via the classic model, MCA distance education, or an online MCA course.

As an MCA, your role is a desk job and includes managing systems and databases, building and testing software, and coding.
