What is the MAT Exam?
The All India Management Association administers the MAT for PGDM admissions.
MAT refers to the Management Aptitude Test. It is a multiple-choice examination listed under Indias most famous PGDM entrance tests.
Candidates looking for their PGDM admission can appear for MAT four times per year and apply for the nations top B schools. Also, around 600 PGDM institutions across India accept the scores of the Management Aptitude Test.
MAT is a countrywide aptitude test that allows candidates to be admitted to multiple management programs based on their exam performance. The Ministry of HRD of India has authorised the MAT examination.
Exam Eligibility
You can be the right applicant for MAT if you have:
- Accomplished a Bachelors degree in any field with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
- Your age must be a minimum of 21 years.
Candidates in their last year of their undergraduation can also opt for the MAT exam.
Exam Modes
MAT for PGDM admission is conducted in two formats:
- Computer Mode (Online)
- Paper Mode (Offline)
Online Mode (Computer-based):
Students who wish to participate in the computer mode must enrol on the official site. You must select the online mode in the registration form. Then, after completing the online registration process, you will receive your distinct username and password through email and SMS to your registered email address and contact number.
Note: You need to save these details for future preference.
Offline Mode (Paper-based):
Students who wish to give the MAT offline examination must register online and select the offline choice. However, you need to accurately fill up the online application and retain the completed form for reference purposes.
You have to pay the application fees on the internet and save the invoice for evidence.
After paying the fees, you will receive separate login details. Further, to access the MAT hall ticket, you need to keep your ID and password handy. Likewise, you can download your admission cards from the online webpage after finishing the application procedure.
Note: In both circumstances, students must take the Management Aptitude Test at the designated exam centres listed on their admit cards.
Exam Pattern
There will be 200 MCQs in the MAT paper. These questions will be divided into five sections:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
Things to know before attempting Management Aptitude Test are :
- The examination will last 2.5 hours or 150 minutes in whole.
