The Accurate Institute of Architecture Planning endeavors to empower the young aspiring architects to be able to competently and confidently contribute professionally in today’s highly competitive and extremely challenging word.
❖ For admission to first year of B.Arch., a candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university and securing (i) minium 50% marks in aggregate and (ii) clearly passed without grace, each compulsory and optional subjects. A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central / State Government, is also eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch, only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate without grace. Such candidate will have to appear in the entrance Examination for first year of B.Arch.
For better understanding of the concepts, models and theories of the concerned subject the scheduled lectures act as an integral part of the teaching methodology. The faculty members design their lecture delivery schedule with a special focus on incorporating the most relevant content for the budding architects on diversified areas as per the advanced and exhaustive curriculum to cater to the contemporary issues and challenges of the exponentially dynamic building industry. Lectures are optimally supported by presentations, case studies, carpentry workshop, model making workshop, construction yard, art tutorials, site visits, exhibitions, quizzes, workshops, seminars, conferences, and colloquiums.
Lectures are customized according to the intellectual orientation and competence of the batch so as to optimize the learning process and maximize the teaching efficiency. The lectures aim at imbibing all the relevant human, conceptual and technical skills. The lectures provide a solid base, foundation and thorough understanding of the basic concepts of the subject followd by intense studio.
Case Studies act as an integrated, important and indispensable part of the curriculum at Accurate. The students participate whole heartedly in all the three processes of development of case studies, analyzing case studies, and interpreting the case studies into real design solutions by applying the concepts and ideas of design, building construction and applying graphical and drawing tools. This facilitates the holistic learning process and education. Many international research findings have positively recommended the case study method as an important methodology in education.
The case study method of teaching at Accurate provides our students the analytical orientation to handle the real life scenario with higher degree of comfort. All students participate in the case study development, discussion and solution process individually as well as in groups which also facilitate the learning and decision making while working in teams with enhanced team spirit. The focus of all faculty members is to train the students with the help of real life case studies and give them hypothetical problems and possible plausible/feasible alternatives/solutions.
Studios consist of major part of the Architectural curriculum where student takes the hands-on experience of the project, assignment, topic by creating sheets, physical models, art pieces and installations. The studio acts as integral element of the Course where learning is by doing. Studios are the place where one-to-one interaction between teacher and student takes place and queries, issues are sorted out with intense discussion and presentation of the assignment work. The Studios are meant to teach graphics, drawing and construction the basic tools of architecture and are further translated into creative, design solutions.
SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS:
The Seminars and workshops on different contemporary themes in accordance with the latest trends at global and the national level at Accurate make it markedly different as they focus on the areas of crucial and strategic importance and focus on providing the students the special edge over their colleagues.
The academic events including conferences, seminars, and workshops aim at dissemination of thoughts, views, ideas and opinions of the leading doyens from industry, academia and other luminaries from their specialized domain area. This acts as a strong blending exercise of industry and academia thereby giving a catalytic boost to the process of knowledge integration.
PROJECTS & ASSIGNMENTS:
Projects are compulsory and indispensable part of the curriculum at Accurate. All students are compulsorily required to undertake Design/Research Project Projects in each semester. The Internship Project of sixteen week duration (one semester) wherein a student is required to undergo practical training in an architectural firms a mandatory part of 7th semester curriculum as per the university syllabus. The final semester is dedicated to thesis which includes design as well as research on the topic selected by the student under the guidance of a faculty member. At Accurate the faculty acts as a mentor not only for the project or assignments but also for the student throughout his presence at the institute, he plays a pivotal role and a supporting guide to the research while the External guide from the industry make him work as per the changing environment.
The students are required to submit a detailed thesis project report duly signed by them along with two signatures of the internal guide and external guide. The students are required to take a viva voce examination to be taken by a team of faculty members after submission of the project report.
Special Lectures by various eminent speakers is emphasized at Accurate to provide the students with the current trends in the building industry. The guest speakers include renowned practicing architects, designers and academicians who share their experiences, discuss projects undertaken by them. Some of the acclaimed and eminent speakers of national and international arena who have delivered mesmerizing lecture.
