Accurate Business School under the aegis of ACCURATE Institute of Management and Technology, conducted a seminar on "Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management" by Mr. Chandresh Gupta, a freelance trainer, on December 2, 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Amit Gupta, Director-ABS, for BBA, BCA, and B. COM(H) students.
Dr. Amit Gupta welcomed the guest speaker, Mr. Chandresh, with the flower bouquet, followed by the customary lighting of the lamp. Ms. Annu Chauhan, Assistant Professor, hosted the program and invited Dr. Amit Gupta to briefly introduce Mr. Chandresh Gupta and invited him to share his knowledge with the students.
Mr. Chandresh Gupta provided in-depth knowledge about the investment and its sources, the analysis and assessment of the performance of a portfolio (equities, bonds, alternative investments, etc.), funding stages such as promoter funds, angel investors, venture capital firms, and equity firms, and, most importantly, the IPOs, along with its pros and cons.
The session was very engaging, wherein Mr. Gupta shared various case studies like Harshad Mehta's 1992 scam and gave an overview of NIFTY (a basket of 50 shares of the largest Indian companies listed on the NSE) and SENSEX (a basket of 30 well-established, financially sound, and most actively traded shares)
Mr. Gupta Motivated students to invest in various modes of investment and develop the habit of consistently investing for a secure future, taking inflation into account. The highlight of the session was when Mr. Gupta took a quiz and students excitedly answered the questions.
The seminar had a takeaway for all who attended it in terms of an informative experience. The main purpose was to create awareness among the youth about the investment, its analysis, and how to manage your personal portfolio.
Finally, Dr. Amit Gupta, director of ABS, gave career guidance to the students and thanked, Mr. Chandresh Gupta for his valuable inputs. He also thanked all the faculty members- Mr. Harender Singh (Assistant Professor, Mr. Pawan Yadav (assistant professor), Mr. Vipul Garg (assistant professor), Mr. Shubham Kumar Sajan (Assistant Professor), Ms. Annu Chauhan (Assistant Professor) for their contributions.
