To celebrate the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav an event was organised to have a special conversation on the "Women Empowerment in India" with Ms. Neha Bansal - IAS officer at Accurate Institute of Management and Technology.
To commemorate the celebration of the 75th year of India's Independence with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), Accurate Institute of Management and Technology, invited an IAS officer, Ms. Neha Bansal, from the 2010 batch, on May 25, 2022 to share her thoughts on women's empowerment in India with the students and faculty members of the Institute.
She elaborates on the Woman of Substance as the ideal woman and speaks about women as mother, power, creator of the universe - Goddess Lakshmi, and so on, as well as on gender equality.
Ms. Neha Bansal authored a book titled "Herstory," a compilation of 39 narrative poems based on gender inequality, with the aim of calling attention to gender inequality, myths, respect, and equality for women in India.
She encouraged students to apply for civil service exams and dedicate their lives for the social welfare of the society, and also had a discussion session with the queries of the students. She inspired students to educate themselves in a way to respect and honour women.
Our chairperson, Ms. Poonam Sharma expressed her gratitude to all the guests present to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav, 75 years of Indian Independence, and praised her book and the efforts of Ms. Neha Bansal for being a woman of substance in the true sense.
