Seminar on Pharmacovigilance and Pharma Regulatory-Current Challenges and Way Forward

With continuous research and developments happening in the field of Pharmacy, a science related to medicines and vaccines, which involves Invention, Research, Production, Safe use, Control and Side effects of medication and drugs whereas Pharmacovigilance is an activity of detecting, assessing, understanding and preventing the adverse effects of any medicine and vaccine, which needs to be discussed and apprised among the community.�

Taking this into account, Accurate College of Pharmacy - The Best Pharmacy College in Greater Noida has organized a Seminar on "Pharmacovigilance and Pharma Regulatory- Current Challenges and Way Forward" in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Delhi Branch) on Saturday, 14th May 2022 from 10 AM onwards at Seminar Hall in the campus.

The objective of the seminar was to make the students and Faculty members aware of the challenges faced and the way forward, that is to come out with the solutions.

The speakers of the seminar were:�

Mr. Rishi Kumar, IPC, having more than fifteen years of Academic, Research, Pharmacovigilance Experience in Pharmaceuticals. Presently working as Scientific Assistant, at Pharmacovigilance Programme of India, Indian Pharmacopeia Commission, Ghaziabad (IPC) and

Ms. Bhavna Gupta, Director- Regulatory Affairs, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., Gurugram. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Regulatory Submissions

Guest of Honour were:

Mr. Kalhan Bazaz, President,The Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA)-Delhi State Branch.

He has rich experience of more than fifteen years in the field of Clinical research in various capacities.

Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Hon. Secretary, IPA-Delhi State Branch�

Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, R&D Head, Modi-mundipharma, Modipuram, Meerut. He has 27 years experience in Academics and Industry.

The event started with the introductory message by the speakers and the lamp lighting ceremony. Guests were felicitated with the flower bouquet. Welcome message was delivered by Dr. Pradeep Sharma, Principle - Accurate College of Pharmacy.

We witnessed the MOU signing ceremony between Accurate College of Pharmacy and Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Delhi State Branch) which is a proud moment for the college further the event proceeded as follows:

Address by Mr. Kalhan Bazaz, Mr. Rishi Kumar and Ms. Bhawana Gupta. Lastly, Queries were asked by the students and faculty and panel discussion regarding Pharmacovigilance. The event was concluded with Mr. Neeraj Kumar's message. Finally a Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sharma
