Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a festival that commemorates the birth of the revered Hindu god Ganesha – the harbinger of new beginnings and the remover of all evils.
The festival of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ was celebrated with fervor and religious spirit this year at Accurate Group of Institutions from 2nd September 2019 to 6th September 2019. ‘Sthapana’ marked the prelude to ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ celebrations in the campus. Lord Ganesha’s idol was welcomed to the college by devotional songs and dance performances to the melodious beats of drums. The idol was installed with great enthusiasm abiding the Hindu rituals. There is a belief in Hindu mythology that Ganesha’s arrival at one’s doorstep brings loads of wisdom, prosperity and happiness to one’s household and abolishes the problems and obstacles faced by that household.
The Chairperson Ms. Poonam Sharma graced the event by every day pooja and archana along with faculties, staff members and also students of all the departments actively participate in this festival. This festival brings all the students together and helps to lighten the mood amidst the hectic schedule.
After the entire day of rituals and Mahaprasad, then comes another category that leave everyone in the dust. The… wait for it… Visarjan.
Bidding adieu to such a lovable god is always hard. We at Accurate do that in a customary style by setting farewell to Lord Ganesha with Dhol-tasha pathaks and abiranjali with everything is set in order. The Visarjan miravnuk (procession) begins from the Accurate Campus to the nearest natural source of water i.e Bilaspur lake with live music, and colors
Although the Ganpati visarjan brings a sombre mood to the college, it provides an opportunity for everyone to say ‘Pudchya Warshi Lawkar Yaa’
With this we wish every year may lord Ganesha showers his blessings so that we can celebrate this auspicious occasion with more pomposity and gaiety.
