Freshers Party 2018 for PGDM

Novato Fiesta, the fresh breeze best describes PGDM Batch 2018-2020 freshers party, in cloudy weather Goa theme gave it a warm beachy quotient. Swag kickstart by seniors with tilak and performance on “SWAG SE KARENGE SABKA SWAGAT”. Dance performances on Nagada sang dhol, Hollywood mashups, old classics pumped up the temperature while soulful musical performances, Goa and traditional themed ramp-walk could give even professionals run for their money.

2 minutes managerial games, comic shayari it was no short of fun activities to keep everyone entertained. Faculty members were no less be it singing or dancing with the serving of mouth watering delicacies with the suspense on Mr. and Mrs. Freshers which will unfold on 29th September in cheery and cheerful presence of Faisalpuria. Fun event would not have been possible without the coordination from Accurate Institute of Management and Technology, Director sir, Faculty members, seniors and obviously Juniors. At last party hard, make mistakes, laugh endlessly. Do things you are afraid to do.After all you are only young once.

GST Impact on Businesses

Accurate Institute of Management and Technology organized session on “GST Impact on Businesses” on September 18, 2018 for PGDM Batch 2017-19 and 2018-20.The objective of the session was to sensitize among students about GST and its impact on business.

Mr. Manish Bhardwaj, renowned Chartered Accountant, with 17 years work experience was the resource person for the session.

The session started with welcome address by Director General, Dr. Saroj Kumar Dutta. He focused on the relevance of Goods and Services Tax for the Indian Economy.

The session was highly interactive and it revolved around the Good and Services Tax (GST) in Global perspectives and relevant topics such as Input Credit, Anti – Profiteering Measures.

Guest Lecturer –  Dr. Ranjan Ghosh

Dr. Ranjan Ghosh is presently Mentor and Visiting Professor at IIM Kashipur (Uttarakhand).  He has five decades of experience as a Professor, Trainer, Researcher and Consultant in India and abroad in the fields of Operations Management, Project Management, Technology Management, Logistics/Supply Chain Management and Risk Management. He has been a Professor at IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore and IIT Kharagpur, and Director at Goa Institute of Management. He worked for three years with International Business Machines (IBM) and Communication Satellite Corporation in USA. He has been on research and teaching assignments at Columbia University, Cornell University and the University of Iowa in U.S.A., and at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. He has been a Guest Professor at several IIMs and Management Institutes in Singapore, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Ghosh is on the Governing Body of several Management Institutes. He has also been a member of several expert committees set up by the Government of India as also the State Government. At the IIM Calcutta, Dr. Ghosh had held various administrative positions, including Director-In-Charge for a year and Membership of the IIMC Board of Governors for two terms.

Dr. Ghosh is the co-author of a book on Productivity and Efficiency, and is presently writing a book on ‘The Role of Operations Management and Innovation in Competitiveness’. He has a number of research publications, and has presented papers in many national and international conferences. He has undertaken consulting assignments for Indian Oil Corp., Oil & Natural Gas Corp, Ordnance Factory Board, Indian Air Force, Steel Authority of India Ltd, Coal India Ltd, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, South Eastern Railway, South East Central Railway, Kolkata Port Trust, Garden Reach Ship Builders & Engineers Ltd, MAMC, West Bengal State Electricity Board, Institute of Entrepreneurship-Guwahati, IIIT-Allahabad, Durgapur Projects Limited and Great Eastern Hotel. He has conducted more than one hundred and fifty Management Development Programmes and In-House Training Programs.

He holds a B. Tech (1st Class Hon) from I.I.T. Kharagpur, an M.S. from Stanford University, and a M.S. and D.Sc. from Columbia University.

B.Tech Fresher Party – 2017

Accuratians organized the traditional event “Fresher Party – 2017” illuminated as आरम्भ on 14th  Oct, 2017 having the natural essence & effervescence of the Management.

It was the conformity of the Mission & Vision of the Institute.

The event created a mirage like Bollywood event for the flock of persons outside and swarm of students inside the institute.

As the event was to welcome the newly entered buds of the college, both faculties and the groomed students gave mind blowing performances and took all into a paradigm shift of entertainment.

The curtain of the event came down with the blaze of Mr. & Miss Fresher 2017.

Talent Hunt

Talent Hunt was organized for MBA students by Accurate Institute on the second half of 5th September 2017. The objective of this event was to bring out the hidden talents amongst the students. The student came out like blooming buds. Their Hidden talent included Poetry Recitation, Speech delivery, dance performance, Singing songs and Mimicry.

Teacher’s day Celebrations

The MBA student of Accurate Institute celebrated Teacher’s day on 5th of September 2017, to commemorate the birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvopalli Radha Krishnan. The celebration started with welcome speech by students of MBA followed by Motivational words by the Director Dr. A. Sajeevan Rao. The occasion was graced by all the faculty members. The students organized cultural events followed by musical chair for the faculty members for which the winner was Mr. Ram Niwas, the registrar of the institute. The students felicitated the each and every faculty members with a token of appreciation for the valuable contribution in their life.

Industrial Visit

Accurate Group of Institutions had organized an Industrial visit for MBA 2017-19 Batch on 25th August 2017 to Anmol Industries, Greater Noida. Dr. Vivek Srivastava and Professor Pratibha Goswami were the coordinators for this whole industrial visit. The Visit was undertaken under the guidance of Mr. B.S. Sharma (Management Anmol Industries).

The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware of how various activities related to Marketing, Finance and Human Resources are carried out in the company. Since, the company visited was technically a production unit, the students got a chance to see how various activities from raw material availability to final product with packaging are continuing in a typical production plant.

As soon as our students visited the company’s premise Mr. B.S. Sharma along with production team colleagues who detailed students how production is carried out in company and how company meet its daily customer demands.

The visit almost took 1.5 Hours to see complete set of production unit which was followed by questions of students answered by Quality Manager, Mr. Manish, in an appropriate manner with full details.

It is rightly said that “See and Know” is better than “read and learn”. Students have got real feel of company’s working after their visit. They got a chance to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical implication. This will definitely give students to understand subject matter completely.
